I ran the resistance checks this afternoon and need a little help interpreting the numbers. Maybe I need a better / different multimeter ?
Black probe is clipped to point 23. Multimeter is set to 200.
multimeter with points crossed = .6
23 to chassis measures 1.9
The following points should all read 22 ohms. Here are my initial values:
3 -- 2.0
8 -- 3.2
13 -- 2.6 (fluctuating)
18 -- 2.5
22 -- 2.2
25 -- 2.2
27 -- 2.1
32 -- 1.2
35 -- 4.2
Per an earlier thread, I temporarily disconnected the bundle at 32 and remeasured all the points. Everything was 1.
After resoldering the connection at point 32, I remeasured:
to chassis: 2.2
3 -- 3.2
8 -- 2.5
13 -- 1.2
18 -- 1.3
22 -- 1.4
25 -- 1.2
27 -- 2.2
32 -- 1.2
35 -- 2.6
What am I missing and what could I do to be able to move on to the next step ?
When on the 2K setting I get a reading of .612. Can I assume that this is the equivalent of 612 ohms ? A 200K setting gives a reading of 103.8. This is the equivalent of 10.38k ohms ?
Finally, when measuring values for A5/A6 and B5/B6, on the 20k scale, I get 1.30 and 1.09 on the A side, 9.34 and 9.13 on the B side. All other values are nearly equivalent, but these are wildly divergent, but appear to be in spec. Do I need to do anything ?
