I just completed a Kaiju/BeePre/Eros and am designing a cabinet to show it all off.  I am hoping to get some thought into what is the ideal layout of components with respect to noise. My turntable is a Rega P10 so it has an external motor and the RCA cables are about three feet in length. That restricts the phono preamp location as well as the motor control. I assume the motor control should be a maximum distance from the Eros as well. I read that the RCA cable runs should be "as short as possible" How does this balance with the need to space out certain components?

I can feel your pain with the Eros.  I helped someone set up a P10 and was rather alarmed at how short the tonearm leads are.  If you're designing a cabinet, you could put a hole in the top of the cabinet right under the base of the tonearm to let those wires pass down and into the Eros below.  Otherwise you can make the cabinet a bit wider and just set the Eros next to the TT.
