It's been a while since I have built any Bottlehead kits (or anything, for that matter), but I have been considering whether a Moreplay might be worthwhile. I never got around to buying a Foreplay 3 before it was discontinued, nor the Smash. A Quickie was gifted. So, I currently have a DAC and Eros phono preamp going directly into a Stereomour set up for 2A3 tubes, which outputs to Klipsch Heresy III speakers. The setup sounds fine, which is why I haven't messed with it in a while. However, I tend to listen at low levels in a room with wood floors and wonder if adding a preamp to the chain might gently "flesh out" or compress the sound in a euphonic way without losing too much detail? In addition, I have considered adding a subwoofer of some kind (e.g., as the Klipsch speakers are sealed cabinets and only go down to about 55Hz) and a pre-amp with multiple outputs would be helpful. Has anybody else built a Moreplay for specific use with a Stereomour?
