Hi,

I am doing the Kaiju Hum pot adjustment as per the instruction of page 71 of the Kaiju Manual.

I attached a speaker and also a voltage multimeter.

But adjusting the hum pot does not yield any voltage fluctuation. It stays at 0 volts (AC).

Interestingly if I disconnect the multimeter probe, the AC Multi Meter fluctuates.

However, while the multi meter is connected to the binding post, the AC measures exactly 0 milli volts.

I have verified that the multi meter is set to measure milli volts.

Is this expected? I am not getting 5.5 milli volts as per the instructinons.

There are a lot of meters that don't measure AC mV particularly well, so it's possible that you have a meter with maybe a 200V and 700V range for AC, and that won't resolve the mV reading particularly well.  You can also just listen to the speaker with your ear close to it and adjust the hum pot till you don't hear any hum.  If you aren't ever able to hear any hum, you may find that signal also doesn't pass through the amp...
