Kaiju with Moreplay..

I built a Kaiju and PreBee2 recently and I do really like both.

The Kaiju has DC filiment supply and the PreBee does not have any upgrades.

I decided to swap the PreBee2 for my Moreplay, just to see.

I get A LOT more volume out if the system with the Moreplay than the PreBee2.

Is that to be expected? Or did I do something wrong with the PreBee build?

A little research on the matter: Seems that a 3db increase in output gain from the Moreplay over the PreBee equates to about 1.4x louder at the speakers.

I guess that answers that.

The Moreplay has a bit more gain, but both preamps will put out a substantial amount of voltage relative to what most amps (including the Kaiju) require for full output power.
