Hi,

I am finally getting around to doing the final updates on my Crack.

I picked up a TKD 2CP-601 100K, and I am hoping for some guidance about which wires from the standard pot go to which pins on this new one; I don't want to mess it up as I understood TKD use a different pin layout to the standard pot?

Many thanks,

RR

When in doubt, either:

1) Pull out the multimeter & check the pins

or

2) Use your favorite search engine & look for the data sheet - https://acoustic-dimension.com/tkd/TKD-2CP-601-01.pdf  shows the pinout (mid-page, right side).

Also consider that pots with PC board pins need to be mounted to PC boards.  If you try to wrap wires on those pins and put pressure on them, the pins may break or tear out.

Thanks, yes I checked the TKD pins on the multimeter, and had seen the tech sheet from the TKD site, but just wanted to see if there was any guidance as I was nervous.

Thanks PB, I was hoping to use a PCB mounting board I had for another pot, but the pin spacing is different. I guess I will have to accept and order a different pot.

Many thanks PB. I decided to order a 2CP-2511 from a supplier, and store this previous one for another future project in the parts bin. The PCB link is very useful for this, thanks.
