Hey guys,
I'm smelling wafts of burning solder every so often while listening to my Crack.  Checked all solder joints and they seem OK.  No smoking and the thing sounds great.  Any cause for concern?

How were your voltage measurements?

A1 and B6 were both 76V, other than that they looked fine

I did the suggested mod to keep startup voltage low.  Looking over my notes, 6 and 10 were close to 0 during resistance checks.  Don't think it affects anything, but wanted to mention just in case.

thanks
S

You shouldn't have anything to worry about then.  You may be smelling warmed flux, but if the voltage checks look good, nothing is getting hotter than it should.

Thanks! I figured it was fine, and hopefully it'll go away with time, but its good to have the piece of mind.
