It seems I'm on a mission to try a 45 tube in my Paramount's. That of course begs the question, what 45 is recommended? I'm also going to convert my EF3 to some New Tung-Sol 6SN7GT's (available at Tube depot) and my Paramount's to 2A3. From there checking out a 45 should be easy. Just wanted to get some suggestions on what brand 45 to pursue.

Regards,
John

Just a note - you can us a 2A3 as if it were a 45. It won't be quite optimal, but it is more robust (and less expensive!) than the 45. It's a good way to be sure the circuit changes are implemented and adjusted properly before installing the 45.

I've been using TJ / Full Music 45/n in Paramour I's with EXO45 output trans & BCP15 plate choke with the PJ's recommended resistor changes for a couple years. I have tried standard old production 45's; and always put the TJ's back in.
