My location overseas and status still hasnt changed, so I still have to wait a little longer for ordering the stereomour and crack/smack for my computer desk... in the meantime I also HAVE power cond./filters for all my other gear, which were quite expensive... I have to confess, I want great sound , but I am getting tired of having to shell out 2 to 3 grand for this type of thing. I have no regrets, but I just dont really want to do it again... Have you ever considered a cost effective/value oriented Mains filtering product for the BH line? I would be SUPER if U2 could give us a great value oriented product...... Or maybe too much risk with us getting it wrong and burning our houses down?? :)        Sorry for the long post.... wont happen again....

Chris, I live in Switzerland and I have had success using this product:

http://www.transcendentsound.com/Transcendent/Transcendent_Sound_Power_Supply.html

I have had no problem running BH gear from this unit as a step down to 115v.  No need for the 230v model BH gear as I might one day be back in North America.

Hope it helps.

One of the bigger projects that John Camille cooked up before he passed away several years ago was a power conditioner for a whole system. It was massive, and somewhat complex - John would tend to gauge the effectiveness of a conditioner by the weight of the iron in it - enough so that I never built one. But I've had a power supply from an old computer mainframe for years that we can barely move with three people, that I figured to use one day as the basis. I'm more motivated these days, as the power in our business park has a cyclic voltage fluctuation that makes us crazy when trying to measure things in the lab. When I have some time I will dig up the notes he left me (John Tucker and I gathered up every scrap of his notes we could find when we helped to clear out his house for sale). If it looks like some of it could be worked up as a kit I'll give it some thought. If it looks too big and complex for that I might just share the notes.
