I'm wondering if this is the same transformer that is used in the S.E.X. amp. TIA

In the older S.E.X. amp, yes, the PT-3. However the current S.E.X. 2.1 uses a different transformer, the PT-7.

Doc, will the PT-7 power transformer be available as a for sale  component, just as the PT-1 is?

Yes, we will have the PT-7 available for sale. Give us some time to catch up on current orders and we will have a small burst of new product listings including the PT-7.
