Like Choff did in http://www.bottlehead.com/smf/index.php/topic,1784.msg13260.html#msg13260 I am finally taking another shot at installing my Anticipation upgrade into my old Foreplay. I have a vague recollection of having issues with the LED's on the kit, and not having the time to tend to it then (five or ten years ago now?).

Long story short, I need to install new LED's, of the eight only two are installed and I have no idea where the rest of them have gone. The manual describes them as H~P special Light Emitting Diodes but I am unfamiliar with that product and unable to find them. It has been noted there is a difference between the 'old' led's and the newer HLMP-6000 model that are used in the current C4S which may change the resistor values.

What should I be looking for?

I've been so amazed with the C4S improvements to my Crack amp that I'm motivated to rehabilitate this Anticipation upgrade as well as place an order for the C4S kit to put in my Seduction!

Use the HLMP-6000 LEDs. They are the closest to the original diodes, have the same chemistry, and in the specification sheet the voltage/current curve appears to be identical.

Measure the tube voltages and post them if you are worried, we'll be glad to identify any meaningful discrepancies and recommend suitable action if necessary.

Well, this is a VoltSecond morning for me.  He has some notes on it and, IIRC, a way to test them with a battery before installation.
