Got a FB note from a former coworker. We're both in Snohomish county so local suggestions from here thru Seattle are welcome please!!

" I have my dad's Teac and Sansui (with Panasonic speakers) that he brought back from Vietnam in 1970. I plan to have the Teac rebuilt as it's lost a channel and the rubber in the tape drive has fallen off. So it doesn't work right now. Do you know of anyone who rebuilds old tape decks?"

Try Curt Palme. His website is, believe it or not, curtpalme.com. He is in B.C. but I know he comes down to Seattle fairly often on business. He has been the CRT projector go-to guy for many years (I bought my projector from him, which he delivered from BC) and he expanded into refurbing tape decks a few years ago. He is definitely a vintage oriented guy and seems to have lots of parts resources.
