PB can chime in on the optimal values for the electrolytic - I would tend to think it would be ok to go as high as 10Kuf on that one.
If I was going through the trouble of building a Quickie, I would first try to avoid using electrolytics altogether, and if I did I would make sure they are new (they dont have good shelf life), and since they are cheaper than dirt I would just buy a half a dozen Elna Simic ll's at $2.50 a pop and be done with it. I believe the purpose of the caps is for filtering.
Maybe PB or Paul, Doc, Granger etc. could give some tidbits about the purpose of the Quickie caps (please, pretty please!).
