Hi there,

With the PJCCS there is the part that calls for 2" of red Teflon wire from IA to IB.  My 2" was a bit short.  Idid not have enough red wire to make another 2" so I instead used the 20awg red wire that I had left over from my Quickie.

My question is will this be okay?  I believe that I should be good but just wanted to check.

Also, how difficult is it to burn and injure a pcb board so it doesn't work.  I think I may have problems with IB.

Thanks...Dave

Dave,  For the purpose that you are using the wire, I think that it would be fine to use the red Quickie wire. As far as damaging the pc board, I won't say it is unlikely, but I'm betting that it looks worse than it is. When something like this does cause damage, I usually can find an alternate route by tracing where the pc trace goes to or comes from. It's not always pretty, but serves the same purpose.

20 gauge should be fine as solid core is better than stranded in case of that application.
