Ruminating...
I have been working around my home all weekend. My wife is out of town and I washed, clay bared, polished and waxed both cars. That was less than half the work I have done.
But getting to the subject, as I listen to a newly acquired used LP it plays like new. Bert Jansch is in the room with a guitar. The surface doesn't look that good. And here we come to the observation.
Paully and I have decided that "surface scuffs and scratches" don't play. The grooves are at 45 degrees to the surface of the LP. All that stuff is not in the groove.
My point is if the LP is advertised as having surface scuffs or minor scratches you will probably never hear them. Jump in and buy more vinyl! I buy most of mine for $10 or under delivered. I admit to paying $20-$27 for import LPs on Transatlantic. But those are "more special."
