have been reading about various DIY speaker options and was told to look at the Frugal Horn speakers by a friend who builds alot of his own gear.  Just curious if others have built or owned them and what their experience was.

Have 3 pairs. Work well with bottle head gear. Particularly like them with my Nicole transformer crack.

Like to be up against a wall or in a corner even better for bass response.

Well worth the money and time to build IMO.

Nice, Is there a particular driver you like best?  I listen to a lot of classic rock so I need something able to handle the high energy without blurring.

Speaker kind of depends on the amp and intended listening level.

If you are going to Crack or SR45 it, the FE126 is pretty much the only choice.

If you have some 2a3s or 300bs to power it I like the tang-bands and alpairs as well.

Each have their ups and downs.

Luckily they aren't terribly expensive so experimenting won't put you in the poor house.
