Anyone know of a 90 degree headphone jack adapter?  I think the headphone jack in my setup would be better suited for strain relief if it were sideways rather than straight up.

I've googled and can't find what I'm looking for.  Lots of 1/8" 90 degree adapters but not the big headphone jack.

John,

I know your question is about female connectors, but have you looked at the gold-plated Neutrik right angle 1/4" plugs available online from Markertek and Full Compass? If you don't mind re-terminating your cables, those plugs are pretty well made, and cost just a few bucks.

This is the approach I've taken. Highly recommended. Even better is if you reterminate your headphones with a male 4-pin mini-XLR. You can then create a number of short adapters:

1. Female 4-pin mini-XLR --> right-angle 1/4" TRS plug (for use with Bottlehead products)
2. Female 4-pin mini-XLR --> straight 1/4" TRS plug (for use with other single-ended amps)
3. Female 4-pin mini-XLR --> male 4-pin full-size XLR (for use with most balanced amps, assuming your headphones are dual-entry and your primary headphone cable has separate and insulated ground cables for each side)

Regards,
Adam
