I will be cleaning my first LP on my new record cleaner today and I have new MF record sleeves to put my newly cleaned records in...that's all good....but my question is this;  What do most people do with the old sleeve?  Occasionally there is a disposable sleeve.....meaning it so generic that it wouldn't matter if you threw it out or not...but most of my LP's are 30 to 40 years old.  Some have sleeves, that while may not be pristine, and are certainly dirty, they are a part of the history of that LP.  I don't want to throw them away.  Some LP jackets will fit both the old sleeve and the new.  Some others won't.  Do any of you guys catalog them somehow and store them elsewhere?  or is this the most anal retentive question posted in recent memory?   ::)

If the old sleeve has something interesting on it I keep it inside the jacket as well.  I have never had a problem fitting the old sleeve and the MOFI sleeve inside a single album jacket.

Same here. If the sleeve is interesting I slide it in the jacket. If it will not fit in the jacket I use an over jacket cover and slide it in there.

Mortor Forker....

Well, seriously...  There are a number of names.  Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, MOFI, MFSL and MF.

It is gratifying to be understood when I'm writing tongue-in-cheek ! ! !

Mo Fo was the first thing that came to mind - but I knew it would be wrong.

I think both were reasonable guesses, Mo Fo and it being wrong.
