This is the first album in a long time that grabbed me right from the first play. And damned if I don't like every song. If you like Elvin Bishop, Seasick Steve, Charlie Musslewhite, Paul Delay - really down and funky blues players with some white boy twang  - you're gonna love this album.

That's a cracker Doc now your talking, love that funky blues, found it on spotify and have the volume cranked up on the Sex & Fostex FX120's sweet... Think I am going to have to get the cd

I'm also partial to bit of Sea Sick Steve and his three string trans guitar, dog house blues myself...

Cheers

I just sat down to listen to it and I'm sorry Dan but it's not my cup of tea but thank you for the recommendation.  Now Seasick Steve is amazing.  I can picture that bum lying under the stars sipping on his Thinderbird but this guy doesn't cut it for me. The band is good, the recording, not so good but it's the singer that drives me away. He has no soul when he sings the blues and he tries too hard...

Well, thanks, I guess, for letting me know. Not sure why I need to know that, but thanks anyway.

Hmmm, I'm coming across rude and that has never been my intention. Honesty is hard on a forum and this one can't be all flowers and sunshine. Often, I would rather read someone else's honest opinion and this is mine on a trivial topic.  If forum members never disagree then this is a precarious place and your forum is not that place.

Take my opinion and do with it as you may.  This is the only piece of music you have ever posted about or helped to produce (Tape Project) that I've not enjoyed.  Of course, I expect the same in return as my tastes are not for everyone and music is a shared experience.
