Lot less noisy now, grounded the driver stage heater and most of the noise is gone. I'm sure what's left can be attributed to less than optimal wiring layout which I will fix as soon as I can stop listening ;D Truly "alive" sound, something I think only comes with DC coupling. Thanks for everyone's help but especially Braubeat and PB 8)

Don't underestimate the 71a tube as far as the "alive" sound is concerned. That tube is awesome with the right speakers.
