Hi,

I am working on my Stereomour and have a couple of questions. I had being working too long on the project and got careless...I installed one of the 1.6 k ohm 10w resistors on its "side" I can't imagine this being an issue, but thought I'd ask. Secondly, I'm at the point where I'm installing the 5 watt resistors on the hum pots. Am I correct in assuming I only need to thread the resistor lead through one of the "eyelets" on the tube socket terminals (A1,A4,C1, C4)? I've found this part of the build somewhat of a challenge....I don't want to have to go back and try unsoldering and reinstalling these parts.

Many thanks,

Jeff

The amp won't know that you installed the resistor on its side.

For the 22 Ohm resistors, it can be pretty easy to just pass the resistor lead through both holes, then solder, without really wrapping around them.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your response. I should learn to trust my instincts...somehow I just knew that resistor wasn't as smart as it looked.  :)  I'll go back and route the leads through both terminals on each pin. Apologies for the lame questions...the only reason I get these kits together is because of the amazing manuals. My ageing eyes just couldn't pick out enough detail in the construction photos.

Regards,

Jeff

The construction photos can be enlarged in Acrobat, in case you didn't know that. The underlying images are high resolution to make that possible.
