Hello all!

I'm looking to build a new DIY system chain, and I was wondering if you guys think the Quickie would serve the job for the pre-amp.  The path would be as follows:

Apple TV -> Quickie -> passive line level crossover -> pair of tripath amps

My main question is if the Quickie would be happy with the apple TV as input (just analog for now until i get around to trying to tackle a DIY DAC), and if the output of the Quickie is high enough to drive a passive line level crossover (don't know the actual insertion loss yet because i have yet to determine all the component values).

thanks a bunch for the help in advance!

What is the output level of the Apple TV?

What is the impedance of the line-level crossover?

What are the losses of the crossover?

What is the sensitivity of the tripath amps?

What is the sensitivity of the speakers?

With that information, your question can be answered scientifically. Without that information, we'll have to guess the numbers and hence the answer. My guess is that it would work perfectly fine, but that guess is completely unfounded, merely based on the observation that preamps of similar gain and output seem to work in most systems.
