I've had my SEX 2.0 as a stock build for several years. I'm glad to say I finally have the wherewithal to do some upgrades!

I have the iron upgrade and C4S on order. I'm going to install a shorting headphone jack by following the steps in this thread: http://www.bottlehead.com/smf/index.php?topic=277.0; and also replace the .1uf caps with AudioCaps as describe here: http://bottlehead.com/smf/index.php/topic,6411.msg62553.html#msg62553

My question: is it advisable to do one before the others (or does it even matter?) I thought there might be an optimal order for ease of installation; especially if any wiring is interrelated.

I hope to have some listening time between upgrades if possible.

Thanks,

—Chris

Personally i would install the iron first as that's going to be the most complicated, and the others will probably only get in the way as you will require access to the tube socket wiring.   After that i would do the C4S, then do the Caps last.

Thanks mcandmar; your suggestions make sense.  Time to get to work...

I did the C4S and then the iron upgrade a couple weeks apart.  I don't feel one interferes with the other.  But I'd recommend doing one at a time so if something goes wrong you'll know what it is.
