Hey guys,
This may be a dumb question, and I apologize if it is, but during my reduction build, on page 29, the manual says to solder the lugs attached to the center ground post.  It mentioned that you have to loosen the nut before soldering.  Just wondering, why is this?  I would think the nut would have to be tight so that we ensure the lugs don't move -- no?

thanks!

It is to make it easier to solder. With a loose nut, the lugs are not thermally coupled to the nut, screw, and chassis plate. Your soldering iron will only need to heat the lugs, as opposed to a larger amount of metal.
