The low voltage cap on the cathode is o ver heating then blowing in a matter of seconds.help would be apprec.jan olsen

The cathode resistor is open, replace it.  (This was part of the last old school SEX mono repair that I did)

Replace the cathode resistor with one rated for more power - 5 watts is good. I'd use a 35v cap, too.
