I posted on here about 3 weeks ago about my friend's kit that had open secondary windings in the transformer. Thank you for sending him a new transformer. Today we powered up just the transformer. We get 6.2vac from the filament and 169vac from the HV secondaries. I am thinking this is an acceptable for the 150V windings. Am I correct? I measured 12 ohm on the primary and 83 ohms on the HV secondaries. I am assuming the measured resistance seems high on the secondaries because, being two windings twisted together, there is a greater length of wire in each of them than would be the case with a simpler transformer design. Is this correct? BTW, the transformer was labeled 240V but we got the correct voltages from 120VAC so I assume it was mislabeled. If someone had connected it to 240VAC, it could have caused problems.
Thanks again,
