Hi guys,

I am not the most experienced solderer ever so what I like to do is check for continuity after soldering two contact pads.  This has worked well so that I can be reasonably ok with the solder joint.

A question that I have can be referenced on page 53 of the Paramount Manual.  "Attach a 200ohm carbon resistor to 7L and A3".  When I check for continuity I don't get my beep!  This has happened on both amps.  Everything looks fine, shiny solder, etc but am wondering why if it is good it wouldn't give me the continuity.

Thanks...Dave

Measure resistance instead and confirm you see ~200ohms across it.  A continuity test on most multimeters only beeps at 1ohm or less.

Perfect!

Thanks Mcandmar!  I did what you said and got the good measurement.  I will put your method to work in the future.  Thanks again!
