I am at the stage where I am testing the voltage of the Crack. I got all the resistance measurements correct (+/- 5% error and none >1 ohm for supposedly 0 ohm)

However, when I plugged the power cord in to check for power, the tubes didn't glow. Then I messed around with the power switch and apparently it turns on when the switch is towards "o" side. According to my knowledge and previous experiences, "o" is supposedly means off but the whole thing turns on this time.

The "o" on the on/off switch is faced towards the right when look from the front and there's no "i" on my switch.

The tubes glow normally when it's on and nothing explode. Should I proceed and continue since everything is normal and just have to know that o means on now?

Thank you in advance for helping this newbie!

Here's the image that the thing is on on the o side. I'm afraid to leave is on for too long without knowing whether this is normal or not :o

It looks like the switch is working although the printed indication is faulty.
If you don't trust it or find the reversed indication confusing you can email support and explain the situation (possibly which a photo attached) and I'm sure they will fix the situation.

The "o" on the on/off switch is faced towards the right when look from the front and there's no "i" on my switch.

On my switch the indication for ON is actually a "dot", not an "o", and the on position is to the right (your photo isn't showing up for me). My included switch doesn't follow the often used i/o convention for on/off.

The picture didn't show here as well.

Switches with a dot usually have no "off" marker. The dot indicates the "on" position.
It could be that b38497988 meant a "dot" instead of an "o" .....in that case the switch is in order.

Oh yeah, my bad. It's a dot, not an "o".

Check the orientation of your power switch against that in the manual page 17.

There is supposed to be two lugs on the bottom of the switch, one in the centre and one near one edge. The one close the edge must be facing the power transformer.

The wire coming from the IEC power entry socket goes to the centre lug of the switch. The other lug has a wire going to the power transformer terminal 1.

Richard, that was my first thought as well. However, since this is an on/off switch if it has been wired with L & N swapped, I don't think it will change the direction of the switch. However, I am very curious about this now, what would happen if I swap L & N at the switch? Would it make any difference at all since L & N are interchangeable with German power sockets.

No difference, it's simple single pole switch, so either open or closed.
