Since I'm always thinking about my next project, or the one after that, I thought about how to wire a pair of 8 ohm Seductor mono-blocks without  the redundant RCA inputs or binding posts. Will this work or will I smell smoke?

On the input side, I would just run two separate cables from the same RCA jack.  Your diagram for the output transformers won't cause any problems.

Thanks for looking Paul. I will take your comment on not causing any problems to also mean that the expected 8W x 1 ch. would be achieved.

Yes, you would indeed get 8W (with good headroom) in that configuration.
