I use this tube in my Stereomour and think its wonderful. Parts Connexion has them on sale right now for 69 a pair. Usually 99 a pair.  I ordered one form China for 65 for ONE!

I'm going to throw in another recommendation for buying a used Telefunken 12AT7 on eBay, which can usually be had for about $20.

If I bought a Telefuken for $20 and it sounds s good as this $65 Psvane it would really depress me, so Im going to remain happy in my ignorance. I did however buy a $10.50 Mullard which sounded fabulous until I put in the Psvane. The Mullard however was a wonderful rich warm mellow sound that I loved. Just not as much detail and resolution as the Psvane. I'll have to start looking for a Telefunken.

Good luck in your search. We keep trying. Personally like the Mullard more than the Psvane.

Other then the sound the thing I like like most about the Mullard is the flare up when you turn it on. Don't have any other tubes that so that. Cool!

I think the reason the Psvane works better for me is that I have server hearing loss and the higher resolution of the tube helps. Other then the resolution, the Mullard's sound is had to beat!

I finally found a Telefunkin. We will see how this stacks up. The JJ  is also a nice tube.

Can't help myself. I would really like to pair the Stereomour up with a Submissive.

Telefunkin up and running. Granted it's only been a 1/2 hr. but I can hear a marked difference. Real strong mid's, slightly rolled off at the top. After a while I spin some lp's I know by heart.
