Hey Bottleheads,
Just received the BeePre/Paramount kits and I have a few questions. I'm not planning on building until the weather gets ugly, although it is kinda tempting.
Should I do the parts inventory now or is it OK to wait till I get around to opening the boxes?
Which kit is the least difficult?
For noticing sonic improvement, which kit should I build first? If I build the Paramounts first, will my Quickie be compatible?
If I build the  BeePre first I can play it through a Stereomour or a SEX if that would be worthwhile.
Thanks for your thoughts, Jess

It isn't often that a kit is missing parts.  But why not find out now?  The Quickie and the Paramounts are a fine combination.  And building them first will allow you to truly enjoy the BeePre improvements.

Maybe I've been unlucky, but out of 6 Bottlehead kits, I've had missing parts from all but one. Some pretty minor, others quite major parts.
I'd do a parts inventory now & order missing parts if any, so that when you come to build you're all set to go.

I would say that the Paramount would be the place to start...John

If you plan on doing any painting (top plates, bell ends) I would suggest doing it now (or soon) it tends to turn out better when it is warmer rather than cooler. Plus the paint will be fully cured when you get down to business.

I think I'll start with the Paramounts.
Good advice all around, Thanks
