Here's a spy photo of the Kaiju stereo 300B power amp kit prototype. The amp chassis is double the size of the Paramount at 10 x 16. While the circuit is essentially the same as the Paramount, it may not be obvious because of the increased chassis acreage that the iron is all a lot bigger than the Paramount iron - not just the power trans but the plate choke and output transformer too. This ended up giving us somewhere around an extra half octave of bottom end extension and the main difference I noticed compared to a Paramount is even tighter bass. Before you ask, no, the new iron will not fit on the Paramount.
Of course one of the coolest features of this amp is that it can easily be strapped to operate as a 16 watt monoblock, opening up a whole new world of potential speaker matchups.
I'm not sure when we will have a finished product available for sale, but I will keep you posted. Meantime it might be a good idea to order that BeePre you've been wanting, so it's ready when the Kaiju comes out.
