We have had many, many folks come to us requesting replacement transformers.  It is so rare that we have a failed power transformer that our newer kits include instructions on how to test the power transformer (and we have not received a single request for a replacement transformer on any of these kits).

Having said that, how have you arrived at your conclusion?

Yeow, it is really hard to say how much damage was done without actually looking at the amp. My suggestion would be to send it to us for repair rather than taking it to a shop that probably won't have the parts needed for the repair.

Yeah, lightning will do it. Everything but the wood and top plates needs to go. The tubes may actually be OK too... Maybe...

So i guess my option is to buy a kit without the chassis and plate?

Thanks,

I don't think we can make a determination of the condition of this amplifier without actually having it on the bench.

Thank You guys for your reply,I found a STOCK CRACK locally however this thing is very noisy but after re-flowing all the solder joints it's dead silent. For some reason i prefer the stock sound.

Thanks again!
