Hi,

Do K40Y-9 capacitors have polarity?  Thanks!

No.  Film caps, generally,  do not have polarity.  One lead is to the outside conductive foil of the capacitor. The other lead is to the inner foil.  The outside foil can provide some shielding in some circuits.  There have been several discussions on how to identify and the correct orientation elsewhere on the forum.

Cheers,
Geary
