Hi,

Does anyone have experience with in-wall air conditioners?  It is very hot here in the Northeast, and our in-wall AC is blowing very warm air.  Date of manufacture is 2005.   The filter is clear, and the fins on the radiator (on the inside are clear also).  What could be wrong?  Thanks,

Dave

I would recommend downloading the service manual for your specific unit and looking at the troubleshooting section.

From my experience with these systems, the costs associated with the tools to perform repairs can become very expensive compared to simply hiring a professional to come have a look at your issue.

Thanks.  I'm leaning towards getting it professionally serviced if its not too much.  Would a normal AC company do that?  I think it might need a charge and cleaning on the back of the unit.

It seems like you would get a more informed answer on an HVAC related forum. I found some very informative sites when I rebuilt my furnace a couple years ago, and I would imagine you could find some good sites for AC repair too.
