The tubes get nice and toasty, especially the 12BH7, as does the transformer.  Consequently, the plate will be quite warm to the touch after it's been on for a while.

I'm looking ahead a bit here and am after a few pointers on favourite resistor brands for maybe later swapping out the stock 75K 1/2W and 47K 2W resistors  ::)

I have liked the results of using the Vishay Dale RN series in the past for building attenuators but wondered what other makes you guys have been using.

TIA

Hello people :)
Here goes my first post.....reviving a cold topic  ::)

I am waiting for my Eros phono and I read about the 0,47 uF cap, but I can't find it in the manual (parts list).
I find 0,01 and 0,03 uF for RIAA correction, 0,1 uF.....1,0uF.....1,5uF......10uF and so on.

What am I missing?

Greetings from Amsterdam

See post #2 in this thread for the answer. Nice to see more Dutch Bottlehead fanatics.

Thanx Tom! Very kind of you.

That would be the three 1uF ceramic capacitors of 50V used at the C socket.
I Can't see other 1uF capacitors used.

Am I right?

Ah...there is some difference between parts list (1,5uF 630V film cap) and the manual (picture) with 1,0uF MKP film cap....

Yes, we consolidated and send the kit with a 1.5uF cap instead of the 1.0uF cap.  There is electrically no difference in the Eros circuit between the parts.
