Team,

The 404's finally came in and I'm trying to find a decent place to mount them without moving too much stuff that's already here.  In this photo, would the TL-404 work well or pick up fields from other transformers.  I have a hard time with core orientations for some reason. Thank you in advance!

Aaron

It's 90 degrees to the power transformer under the board. And 90 degrees to the two transformers you can't see on the other side of the plate.

I got this helpful response from PB this morning:

"Imagine how you would wind the wire through each core. If you imagine looking through the center of the coils of wire, that's how the core points. The FC1 and PC2's are all pointing up/down. The PT4 points at the PC2 and FC1, the TL404 points at the PT4"

I finally understand it! Thank you Paul!
