I know I have to put some anti-rust coating on the chassis and transformer end bell, but do I put coating on their bottoms, too?

I'm worried about rust, but the manual says that I should leave the underside bare because it acts as a ground path.

Thank you!

Spraying the end bell on both sides with an anti-rust coating is fine. Spraying the chassis with anti-rust is pointless as it is aluminum, which does not rust.

Man, I feel like an idiot. Basic chemistry! Anyway, thank you for answering my question, Doc! Have a nice day. I can't wait to start the actual build.
