Hi all, I've had my crack+speedball for a little over a year and suddenly it has stopped working properly. I had perfect measurements when I first put it together and put hours of fantastic listening on it but now it's dead. As of tonight, I'm getting bad resistance measurements. I'll post the results below. I have already gone through to check all solder points; all seem to have plenty of solder. Troubleshooting this is beyond my electirc skills, so I'm turning to you all for help. Sincee I realized that there were resistance issues, I have not applied voltage to the amp, so I haven't tested the speedball voltages. You'll see below that there is obviously something wrong with all of the terminals that should read 2.9.

Terminal | Current Reading | Correct Reading
1 | * | *
2 | * | *
3 | 0 | 0
4 | * | *
5 | * | *
6 | 2.48 | 2.4
7 | error, non zero | 2.9
8 | 0 | 0
9 | error, non zero | 2.9
10 | 2.47 | 2.4
12 | 0 | 0
13 | climbing | climbing
14 | 0 | 0
20 | 0 | 0
22 | 0 | 0
B3 | error, non zero | 2.9
B6 | error, non zero | 2.9
RCA Ground | 0 | 0
RCA Center | 95 | 90-100

The Speedball manual doesn't really specify much in the way of resistance measurements.  You'll need to post your voltages instead.

PB is correct here. Some of the resistance measurements will change quite a bit from the numbers in the basic Crack kit manual.

When you say "dead" do you mean

-no sound but tubes glowing and LEDs glowing?
-no sound but tubes glowing, LEDs not glowing?
-no sound and tubes not glowing, LEDs not glowing -blown fuse?

Thank you both for your advice, I went ahead and applied power to the circuit and voila, it's back to it's former glory. I think I must have had a slightly loose connection that slipped somehow and when I checked the terminals to add a bit more solder I must have hit the culprit. Happy listening, Doc and PB.
