I had the 650's on the Mainline and was impressed by the amount of bass I had.  I've not been disappointed but wished the 800's had more with the Mainline.  Then I realized the 650's might have had an edge with the non-stock cable I had built.

I used the same cable, put some cloth tech-flex on it and the Furutech 800 ends with the Furutech 1/4 plug on it.

I had a heck of a time with the 1/4 end but had the heat too low, once I kicked it up the solder went on well.  The 800 end I might not have done had I realized how tiny those pins are but I pre-filled the tiny cups and the wire soldered right in.

They are breaking in right now, will report back but I'm very satisfied with the sound.

First picture is the 800 pins next to a standard RCA end I had laying around.
