I am wondering if anyone has tried this.

Since there are 2 sets of B+ secondaries, rather than wire them in parallel, why not make two CRC filters, one for each channel?
Would that possibly improve channel separation?

Thanks.

As it stands, the amp already sounds very good.

The Crack 1.0 power transformer does have two B+ windings, so you could make two separate power supplies.  A single CRC filter per channel may not be enough filtering to keep the amplifier quiet.

I went ahead and tried this mod. The parts I used are:
General Diode HER108
Nichicon (KX) 330u, 220u and 100u + Audiophiler 4.7u
Mills 560r 5W
Tackman REX 270k 1W

Sonically, who can say? Too much time went by while the amp was down. The amp was dead quiet before and it still is, and the image is as wide as it ever was, and it's centered and stable on transients. It's also very fast. Luckily, there is no difference in the 2 b+ voltages, they are both 169.9 vDC. So I guess you can get there from here.
