hey guys,
I was looking through tube related stuff on eBay and i saw a 6F8G to 6sn7 adapter,
 has anyone tried this yet? and if so any impressions on the difference in sound (subjective or objective),
any info would be much appreciated.
thanks,

ha! I love the way they look, is there a specific engineering aspect of why you like them? or is it based on their appearance?
I may have to be the guinea pig on this one.
thanks,

I use TS 6F8G with TS 5998 in standard crack.
It sounds great - so good I have not installed speedball yet.
I prefer it to E80CC and 6SN7GT.
Have not rolled anything else.
I use 6F8G -> 12AU7 adapter from ebay.

Here's a link to Head Fi discussing 6SN7 tube rolling.
The 6F8G is compared to the TS 6SN7GT black glass round plate which are one of the best 6SN7.

While I do not recommend it to anyone else, I have used the 6F8G with great success in the Crack without Speedball.  It runs cool and sounds great.  For some reason, it does not function as well in the Crack with Speedball.  I am not technical enough to address the issue, however, I keep on listening.  I have never tried the 6F8G as both front and back tubes.  I expect it would work quite well in the amp without Speedball.  Good listening, JS
