Finished my Crack today!  I spread it over several weeks . . . I was really careful and made good joints.  Some evenings after work I might have only finished a few steps.  Probably the slowest crack build ever but I'm positive every joint was solid and well-flowed and double-checked as I went.  When I messed up I de-soldered and cut a new wire.  (Thanks for including extra wire.)  The building process was stress relief for me.

All the resistance/voltage checks were perfect.  It sounds AWESOME; listening to this is going to be a blast.

Thanks for a great kit and instructions.  I don't need any help at the moment!

(Glad you guys are there though . . . when questions come up!)

Congratulations!!!

Enjoy your amp!!

I am listening to Larry Carlton, On Solid Ground with a pair of HD600's and I cant imagine how much better it gets listening to great music.

There is magic with this amp and headphones.....just simply AWESOME as you state!

...and I have a Mainline as well!!

LOL

Thanks Alex!  So far, I love this amp; it sounds different than anything else I've owned.

Mine has maybe 4 hours on it, only, and it sounds so clean and clear, and powerful (already) with just the stock GE 6AS7GA and stock 12AU7 (no markings - don't even know what kind it is) that I don't know why I'd add the speedball (which I bought) or change tubes . . .

This is really a great design!

Thats great...you dont have to chase exotic high priced tubes as well IMO....been there done that....the good ole coke botle RCA 6AS7G's are just great!

With the right headphones and well recorded music the overall presentation is very, very good!
