Interesting and insightful piece, offering more than just a little food for thought.  Thanks for calling attention to it.

. . . by the way, "77" album sounds awesome with Crack!
I have to think that, for 1977, that was very influential long-term.
I remember buying it on vinyl back then and still have that copy.  It sure seemed weird in the era of classic rock.  Now it sound great.
Crack + TalkingHeads77 = awesome (my opinion)

Speaking In Tongues sounds great on my SEX/Quickie setup, also.

Yeah, I agree and "More Songs About Buildings and Food" . . . Great too!

For some reason I've never realized how good these albums sound; they are really well-mixed.  Very fun to listen to through a great amp (like Crack or S.E.X.), seems to separate the instruments and makes the songs super-interesting.  Hard to describe it but I feel like I can hear the instruments better than I have in the past and it's making me appreciate these albums.

"Remain in Light" is supposedly the masterpiece and I haven't even gotten to it yet!

It's pretty cool when an amp makes a person re-discover and appreciate some old albums in a new way.
