Hi,
So it took me a while, but I finished my Crack over the weekend. Sounds great so far but had some questions for the forum as I am very much a noob with building electronics:
1. On the resistance checks, all looked fine but terminal 9 and B6 are slightly over the 2.9k Ohms. The readings show approx. 2.97k Ohms. Additionally, my Black RCA Center Pin is modestly under the 90k ohms (reading approx 87k ohms). The Red RCA Center pin is within range at 96k ohms. Are the above 2.9k ohms and under 90k ohms readings normal?
2. I have my Crack connected to a line-out of a IFI NANO BL DAC. When not playing music, I can hear my computer and mouse movements (kind of jittery sounding static). I tried moving my Crack away from my mouse and computer but I still can audibly hear jittery erratic static. I also can still hear whenever I move my mouse. Any ideas how to fix that?
3. When building the crack, I melted some cables a little bit on the top from the Soldering Iron. I don't see any wire showing. Should I be concerned at all about it? It doesn't appear to be affecting the performance but am more concerned from a safety standpoint. I included a picture of my crack where you can see one of the slightly melted red wires around terminal 12.
Thank you for taking a look and appreciate any help.
