Any dimmer switches in your house? I recall Doc B. complaining that another tenant in the former office space had dimmers and they had quite a negative impact on his setup. And I noticed an impact in my house and replaced the dimmers with regualr switches. And I would swear that my sound quality takes a slight  when my son watches tv.

cheers,

Derek

You are reminding me that I need to test whether an isolation transformer is effective at blocking this noise.   Let me see if I can fit that in this weekend.

No dimmers. My house and wiring are 30+ years old built in 87 same year I was born. In NC, in several older homes and apts, the wall outlets are controlled by light switches in bedrooms, etc so a lot of them don't have overhead lights or ceiling fans. In this room, 2 or 3 of the outlets the bottom plugs are controlled by the light switch so we just use floor lamps for lighting.
