I recently bought this SEX used. During shipping the wooden chassis arrived damaged and collapsed.

I double checked everything, glued the chassis back when testing I hear some crackling on both channels. Crackling got worse as volume was turned up. I could hear audio just fine.

It passed the resistance check but failed voltage check.

Anyone has any ideas what could have gone wrong?

If those are voltages, I would guess that it was wired for 120v power input, and plugged into a 230v power outlet. If that is the case. I'm sorry to say that many components may have been damaged. Can you post a photograph of the power transformer wiring?

Okay one moment.

However it is plugged into a 120v outlet.

Huh. Well then something else is wrong. Pictures of the wiring, and you should check your meter - is it set to read DC or AC? Is the battery good?
