Voltage test on universal transformer

Just started building my crack today! Very new to DIY and circuitry, although I have had decent practice soldering. I am up to the voltage test part for the universal transformer, and I get a reading of 248V AC (Australia). Is this still ok to use with the 235-245V AC wiring option on the transformer? I am just concerned as it specifies very clearly LESS than 245V AC. Would this have any potential impact on future measurements, tube rolling options or general use? Any explanations are super appreciated. Thanks!

248V will be fine. It's only 3% or so above the center of the specified range mentioned. That means your other voltages will only be moved about 3% from the specified voltages too, and those voltage readings have a tolerance of 10% or greater.
