In a previous GE integrated amp restoration my customer wanted me to sub the 1N4007 diodes with FR307 "fast recovery" diodes. I still have a few on hand. My question is, does it really matter on this new build?

The UF4007 diodes we supply are a bit of an improvement over normal/fast diodes.  UF is "ultra-fast".  Does it matter?  I suspect not so much! To impress your customer, you could recommend the UF4007 in place of the FR307 though.  Whenever I see an old tube amp with SS high voltage diodes, I always replace them with UF4007s.

Just took another look at the parts list. They are UF. My bad. In that old GE resto I actually replaced the old Selenium rectifier with FR307. Upgrade either way at the time ;) I really like this forum and am really looking forward to getting into this build. Thank you for the response.
