Has anyone tried the ATH R70X with the Crack? I mostly use my HD650s with the crack, since they're the only headphones I have that have a suitably high impedance for the Crack, but I'm always curious what other headphones might sound like. I'm thinking of giving them a try, but I wonder if anyone else has experience with this combination.

I would not recommend using those with the Crack.  They would work well on our other amps though.

Thanks for the tip, Paul! Just for my edification, can you elaborate on why they're not recommended?

Also, what do you think about the Beyerdynamic DT880 (600 ohm) paired with the Crack?

Ah weird, a site I went to said they were 47 ohms, but some others are saying 470.  What do they measure with your meter?

I haven't bought them yet, but the manufacturer says they're 470 ohms. At that high impedance I thought they'd be perfect for the crack.

These are high impedance headphones and work quite well on the crack.
